The paved county road off HWY 160W to our campground is well maintained, making the 1.5 mile drive easily accessible, regardless of what you are bringing. The drive to downtown Durango is a quick 5 miles. Known as the “Switzerland of America,” Red Mountain has breathtaking views. The mountain with its steep gorges and narrow highway offers a challenge to visitors, but the area boasts great hunting, rafting, fishing and other outdoor adventures. Carbondale / Crystal River KOA is located just miles from Glenwood Springs and the worldwide known town of Aspen.
You’ll never tire of the recreation opportunities at Junction Creek, like horseshoe and volleyball courts, fishing, and just a short drive to Durango and its myriad attractions. Vallecito Resort is a full service RV Park and campground with cabins tucked away in the Rocky Mountains of southwest Colorado. It has amenities such as 30 amp and 50 amp hookups, large bathrooms and shower houses, an onsite laundry, and a general store. Books and DVDs can be borrowed from the campground office free of charge, and there's even an exercise facility you can use. Metered propane is available on long-term sites, and everyone else can get their propane bottles filled at the office. McPhee supports both warm and cold water species and is home to rainbow trout, Kokanee salmon, bluegill, channel catfish, large and small mouth bass, and crappie. If you yearn to view the La Plata Mountains from a saddle, try a western high country trail ride with one of our local horseback stables.

The city enjoys a number of other excellent ongoing and yearly events, so regardless of the season or time of year, there's always something to enjoy. The majority of campgrounds we selected in this blog allow pets. Staying at an RV Park for a long period of time will vary on the campground & RV Park you choose.
There’s electric, but no plumbing; guests use the newly remodeled bathhouse.Sleeps 4. It has a 1/2 bath with a toilet and sink; guests use the main bathhouse for showers. The kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave, coffee pot and dishes.

We no longer allow tent camping in any area of the campground. No camping in any vehicle that has not been converted for camping. Refresh among flowing, stocked trout streams, waterside trails, grassy meadows, trees & flowers. Modern RV sites close to restaurants & shopping! Lower Hermosa Campground, located close to the Hermosa Creek Trailhead, is a primitive campground with only 20 sites that fill up quickly during the summer season. If you love being beneath the trees, this is the campground for you.

This unique campground features grass-covered sites due to having an abundance of water. The area averages 80 degrees in summer, so it is cool enough to enjoy sitting outside after a day of adventure. RVers who have seeing Pikes Peak on their Colorado itinerary will want to consider staying at the Garden of the Gods RV Resort as you can view this 14,115-foot mountain from the site. And that is not the only natural attraction to be enjoyed here. Red Rock Canyon Open Space and the Garden of the Gods hiking trails are so close that you could walk there from the Garden of the Gods RV Resort.
